Sunday Alcohol Sales
SB 16, the “Sunday Alcohol Sales,” was pulled in
committee today by Sen. Seth Harp (R-29), the sponsor. The proponents of
the bill realized they did not have the votes necessary to pass it out
of committee. Unless attached to another Senate bill, the discussion on
this issue in the Senate is dead for another year.
Rep. Roger Williams (R-Whitefield Co. pt) is carrying the House version
– HB 138. If you would like to contact Rep. Williams to voice your

We will be watching HB 138 closely and report back.
