What Are the Requirements for Admission to a Christian School?

Are you considering enrolling your child in a Christian school? If so, you may be wondering what the admission requirements are. Generally, Christian schools require families to participate in weekly worship and provide evidence of their communion with the church body through a confidential recommendation from the pastor. Additionally, they must submit a transcript from the past two years, including grades from the current school year and from the full previous year. For kindergarten applicants, a preschool progress report may also be required.

At Valley Christian Schools, all parents (including parents who have joint custody and legal guardians) with whom the student lives, including stepparents, must be professing Christians and have regular family participation in a local Bible-believing church. Valley Christian Schools also has a nondiscriminatory policy notice regarding students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin. The mission of Valley Christian Schools is to provide an enabling environment that offers quality education backed by a strong foundation of Christian values in partnership with parents, equipping students to become leaders who serve God, their families and have a positive impact on their communities and the world. Admission requirements vary depending on whether the student is enrolling in a four-year university or a two-year university and whether the student uses the common application process.

While actual admission requirements may vary from one Christian university to another, most universities have similar admission requirements and require students to submit certain information. As a private institution, the school reserves the privilege of setting its own standards for student scholarships, conduct, dress and appearance, and reserves the right to deny admission to any student who does not meet the basic admission requirements. The Student Support Services counselor will work with the student and family during the admissions process to determine if Valley Christian Schools is an appropriate location.

Admission to new 12th grade students is only offered to those moving from out of town and moving from a Christian school. The Valley Christian Schools Student Support Services Program serves students who have been identified with cognitive, medical, psychological, or physical conditions that may interfere with their academic performance. SACS is a conservative, evangelical and Protestant Christian school that is not associated with any local church. San Antonio Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, or national or ethnic origin.

Obtaining a religious education is generally the main reason why students choose Christian universities, but there are several benefits of attending a Christian university. Performing the entrance evaluation is part of completing the application for Valley Christian Elementary School.
